It was the middle of summer. My friend and I were going to an island. We were going there for a treasure hunt. I was excited as this was my first treasure hunt. After we were on the island we went to the small beach house we were staying. My friend and I quickly ran towards the place where the treasure hunt was about to start. There were many kids there. Each team had two kids. We got our map to the treasure hunt. In front of us was a tunnel which leads us to the grave yard. It was very dark there. We barely saw anything. Fortunately, I had brought my torch. I turned it on. Spider webs and skeletons were everywhere. The sight gave me and my friend, Tara shivers. Slowly, I walked towards a small cave. I wasn't sure that, that was the way out. Since there was no other way out we went inside the cave. To our surprise we found a door in the cave. I lightly touched the doorknob. I felt something touch my hand. I took my hand off the doorknob, stared at my hand. Spider webs again! I rubbed it off. Gradually I opened the door. The next thing we saw was a small lake. I didn't see anyway out from there. Tara looked at the map. We had to cross a bridge over the lake. The bridge didn't seem to look very strong. Hence, I crossed the bridge gradually. Tara crossed after me. Just as we turned left, we saw an arrow pointing at a Jetty. We figured that, that's where we had to go. It was called the One Foot Jetty. We hopped into the jetty and reached the other side. It was a forest that we saw next. Since there were so many trees in the forest it took us ten minutes to reach the other side. I searched at the map and realized that we have reached our destination. We saw that no one else was there which meant that we got first place. We saw the "X" mark and started to dig from there. Next to the "X" mark was a shovel. We used it to dig. After a few minutes, I hit something hard. It was a small box. Slowly, I opened it. Inside was a folded note. I unfolded and read it aloud so that Tara could hear. It said "Congratulations! You have reached the treasure. Your treasure will be inside this box." I looked inside the box. Sure enough, the treasure was there. It was a dinosaur tooth. We couldn't believe it. We were so delighted and spellbound.
